This year we started a new event.  "Before the Heat" came about as an idea for a last chance to fly in central Florida before if gets really hot!!  We almost made it, but we did have a really great time.

A casual get together at the Lake Wales, Florida Airport June 1st and 2nd brought together 32 of the "locals".  Non-Stop flying for two perfect days at a perfect site.  Hundreds of flights from 7:30am until 7:30pm over the two days as gentle breezes came right down the runway.  There was not a significant mishap all weekend due to the skill and care of the all the pilots.

We had an even split of the big three turbine manufactures.  RAM, AMT and JetCat were all represented and not a wet-start or flame-out all weekend.  Just a remarkable performance by all who attended.  Steve and I want to thank everyone for their participation and generosity.

We look forward to seeing everyone at this years Florida International Jet Rally November 1 - 3, 2002.
